Beacon Wealth Management Ltd has been voted No.1 Financial Planner for the East of England by Citywire, who are one of the UK’s most eminent financial ratings agencies.
Tony Larkins was at the award ceremony to collect the award at the Lancaster Hotel, London on Thursday 10th January 2013, in front of around 1,000 leading fund managers and financial advisers.
Up to 6,000 UK financial adviser practices participated in an in-depth survey and were judged on factors that included professional qualifications and the overall efficiency of their business model.
Shortlisted firms proceeded to an interview, looking in detail at these areas and additional factors, such as client education and communication, together with the use of technology in running an efficient financial planning business.
Tony Larkins, Beacon Wealth Management Ltd’s Managing Director, attended the awards, which were also part of an annual conference:
“Whilst we had an interview over the phone, we were told it was to qualify our entry, so I had no idea we had been shortlisted. It was only when I sat down at the table for dinner (just before the awards were announced) that I quickly glanced at the programme. I was delighted we had been shortlisted because so many companies enter for these awards and this was the first time we had ever entered.”
“The awards started and East of England was the first award to be announced. I couldn’t believe it when they called out our name and I was handed the trophy by Brian Blessed. It was very surreal. Thankfully I didn’t have to give a speech, as I hadn’t prepared one, but I was ushered off stage and taken to a separate area for a filmed interview. I cannot really remember what I said, but we won this award as a company and I am very thankful for all the efforts of the team at Beacon Wealth Management Ltd, who work so hard to help our clients accomplish their goals and achieve some of the best investment returns in the UK. We have come a long way from a four person company and I am excited by what we will achieve in the future.”
This award means we are considered to be the best financial planning firm in the East of England.
